Suyog Giri
Senior Structural Engineer
With a MEng in Structural Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and consolidating his work in Nepal, Suyog is enjoying the variety of building projects in the UK.
Although he has a wealth of experience inspecting buildings with earthquake damage in Nepal, we are hoping that he won’t be called on for this too often in the UK...
What's your favourite building and why?
"I find “The Shard” in London fascinating. I am really impressed with its overall architecture. The tapered form of the building which provides efficient and economic floor design, and enhances its function as a multi-use development. Being the tallest building (completed) in London city has always been a centre piece of attraction."

Inspirations/Aspirations for your career?
"My inspiration is my family. I would like to achieve my charter in IStructE and I hope to be able to achieve this with help from Modulus."

What are your proudest achievements?
One of my proudest achievements would be pursuing my Master’s Degree in Asian Institute of Technology Thailand, under His Majesty the King Scholarship scheme (one of the prestigious scholarships in Thailand).

What are your goals for the future?
Being new to UK, I am looking forward to further expanding my engineering design skills and progressing towards chartership.
